I don't understand why the filter_id method of excluding things from searches has suddenly stopped working for me on AO3. So I finished all four books in Gail Carriger's The Parasol Protectorate series (a fifth book - of course - is due in March 2012). and despite the lax editing, which led to some jarring mistakes being left in, I enjoyed them a lot.
